‘Bringing the Railway Back to Hawes’

The Upper Wensleydale Railway is currently a small, informal group of private individuals. The group works on a voluntary basis to assess the feasibility of reinstating the railway line between Garsdale and Hawes in Upper Wensleydale, North Yorkshire, UK, to provide a public service as part of the national railway network.

As the scope of UWR’s findings develops, it is intended to develop this informal group into a formal, legally established organisation to further promote the objectives of reinstatement.
